We will present The NTNU University Library Web with all electronic  services available to you, and how you can search in the different  subject  relevant databases to find relevant and qualified information  for your  subjects, store references in EndNote and write your Thesis:

  1. Oria - The library's catalogue + much more -  how to use/search, how to order loans and copies
  2. How to search in subject relevant databases with scientific material (Abstract databases  referring to journal articles, conference papers, scientific reports, patents, standards etc.
  3. Full text E-resources (Journals, Books, Dissertations, Encyclopedias,  Dictionaries, Patents, Standards etc)
  4. Scientific evaluation indicators (reviewing, referee, impact factor,  h-index)
  5. Weakness/Strength by "googling"  (Google Web Search/Scholar/Google Books)
  6. Scientific writing and publishing (with hints: how to write your articles so they will be accepted by the well reputed journals), making reference lists
  7. Copyrigth/Creative Commons - what can I use in my thesis?
  8. PhDOnTrack and VIKO - important tools in Information Literacy
